چکیده
The transient optical response of multiresonant all-dielectric nanoantennas via a combination broadband ultrafast reflectivity experiments and nonlinear optics nanoscale modeling is studied. Ultrafast all-optical control the demonstrated in variably sized Al .18 Ga .82 As over four distinct Mie resonances (including Fano-like resonances), spanning broad spectral range, from red to near-infrared. A spatially inhomogeneous dynamical model, which accounts for diffusion photogenerated carriers inside semiconductor, introduced exploited isolate physical phenomena leading overall response, namely, Drude plasma formation Pauli blocking following band filling thermo-optical effect. results pave way development multiwavelength all-optically reconfigurable filters next-generation add/drop multiplexing.

Hotspot-mediated ultrafast nonlinear control of multifrequency plasmonic nanoantennas.
Plasmonic devices have a unique ability to concentrate and convert optical energy into a small volume. There is a tremendous interest in achieving active control of plasmon resonances, which would enable switchable hotspots for applications such as surface-enhanced spectroscopy and single molecule emission. The small footprint and strong-field confinement of plasmonic nanoantennas also holds gr...
متن کاملUltrafast spontaneous emission source using plasmonic nanoantennas
Typical emitters such as molecules, quantum dots and semiconductor quantum wells have slow spontaneous emission with lifetimes of 1-10 ns, creating a mismatch with high-speed nanoscale optoelectronic devices such as light-emitting diodes, single-photon sources and lasers. Here we experimentally demonstrate an ultrafast (<11 ps) yet efficient source of spontaneous emission, corresponding to an e...

Drawing inspiration from radio-frequency technologies, we propose a realization of nano-scale optical dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) functioning in their fundamental mode. These DRAs operate via displacement current in a low-loss high-permittivity dielectric, resulting in reduced energy dissipation in the resonators. The designed nonuniform planar DRA array on a metallic plane imparts a s...

We propose a new design of optical nanoantennas and numerically study their optical properties. The nanoantennas are composed of two cylindrical metal nanorods stacked vertically with a circular dielectric disk spacer. Simulation results show that when the dielectric disk is less than 5nm in thickness, such nanoantennas exhibit two types of resonances: one corresponding to antenna resonance, th...

It is shown that many two degree of freedom (2D) nonlinear dynamical systems can be controlled by continuous phase-locking (double autoresonance) between the two canonical angle variables of the system and two independent external oscillating perturbations having slowly varying frequencies. Conditions for stability of the 2D autoresonance and classification of systems with doubly autoresonant s...
